Tetrasodium EDTA, is it Safe?

Tetrasodium EDTA, also know as Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid, is a chemical originating in multi-seasonal plants with dormancy stages as a lipidopreservative which helps to develop the stem.  This chemical is commonly used in cosmetics, in medicine, and even in foods.

That brings up the question, is it safe?

To understand if it is safe, it helps to understand its function.  Tetrasodium EDTA is used to prevent the growth of mold and keep products from going rancid.  It also helps to penetrate the skin so that other ingredients can be more effective.  The "penetration-ability" is good if all of the other ingredients are good and beneficial to the skin, however, if there are other toxic ingredients in a formula then Tetrasodium EDTA could be dangerous to the skin.  If you are using a product with Tetrasodium EDTA, make sure that there are no other questionable-ingredients in the mix.  Generally Tetrasodium EDTA is considered safe in cosmetic products, and has a variety of other uses.

In alternative medicine practices, it is believed that EDTA acts as an antioxidant, that helps to prevent free-radicals from injuring blood vessel walls, thus reducing atherosclerosis.  Sodium Calcium Edetate, a specific salt of EDTA, is used to bind metal ions in the treating mercury and lead poisoning and to remove excess iron from the body.  This treatment can be used to treat complications from repeated blood transfusions.

As far as food-products, it is best to avoid it all-together in the consumption of foods!  It works great as a topical ingredient(assuming all the other ingredients are good), a medicine, but not so much as a food.

High Alkaline Diet

Acidic/Alkaline Chart by Dr. Russell Jaffe

Cancer, obesity and disease run rampant in America, a lot of it associated with bad diet.  The average person, especially children, consume far too many meats, chemicals, processed foods, sugars, and acidic foods.  Cancer and many diseases cannot live in a high Alkaline environment!

Holistic Doctors have turned up mysteriously dead(possibly murdered) for presenting cures to various cancers and diseases.  There was a doctor named Dr. Sebi who had over 77 witnesses that were cured of various ailments including AIDs and forms of cancer--- high Alkalinity being a big part of his treatments.  He has documentation of these accounts in his book.  He ended up dead while imprisoned in Honduras; some suspect foul-play.

There was another African holistic doctor who would quarantine cancer patients and other sick patients, one patient at a time, for around 2-3 weeks in a high-Alkaline misted environment.  He would give the patients his specially prepared high-Alkaline meals.  They would eat when he brought the food, and they drank only high-Alkaline water.  When re-diagnosed, they no longer had cancer!  Most of the information on this doctor has disappeared, including videos...

To set a good PH it is best to consume a diet that is between 60 and 80% Alkaline; 80% is the best.

 80% Alkaline and 20% Acidic.

That means to consume more vegetables, and less meats.  Ideally it is best to receive your 20% of acids from fruits and healthy grains rather than a lot of meat, keeping meats as minimum as possible for yourself.  According to Dr. Russell Jaffe, a good diet should consist of 60 to 70% plant-based foods, keeping fats at 15 to 20% of your diet, and proteins at 15 to 20%.

Organic CBD Oil

Many people these days are seeking alternative-medicine rather than dangerous and addictive Pharmaceutical Drugs or body-damaging treatments. Some people like myself do not want to be on a drug our whole lives instead of being cured of our disease or sickness. We want a cure, not a bandaid. The increasing number of individuals who have been able to reverse dangerous ailments, even cancers, give us testimony to the effectiveness of natural treatments. CBD Oil in particular is on the rise.

What is CBD Oil?

CBD Oil is derived from Hemp, from the the Cannabis Plant. Unlike THC which is derived from Marijuana, CBD Oil does not get a person high nor have dangerous effects that THC has. Some forms of CBD contain a certain level of THC, so it is important to check that percentile before purchasing a CBD Oil. A small percent of THC is not enough to get a person high.

What makes CBD Oil so effective, and what does it treat?

CBD Oil is a cannabinoid oil that effects the body and the brain without the dangerous or high affects seen by THC and Marijuana. Our brains have receptors that can pick up these cannabinoids allowing them to be very effective and easily used and absorbed. CBD Oil has been shown to treat seizures, certain forms of cancer, and help with anxiety, also helping a person to relax. It is also known to help with inflammation and sleeplessness.

What are the dangerous effects of CBD?

One of the biggest dangers is getting CBD Oil from a bad source. Currently CBD Oil is being produced without regulation in the States that allow it and is illegally-produced in other States. “CBD is being produced without any regulation, resulting in products that vary widely in quality,” said Marcel Bonn-Miller, a professor of psychology in psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. "It really is the Wild West," he said. "Joe-Bob who starts up a CBD company could say whatever the hell he wants on a label and sell it to people."

Note: If a woman is pregnant or nursing she should consult a doctor before beginning the use of CBD Oil. A person breast-feeding or taking regular drug tests should only consume the “THC-free” versions of the oil.

Why the controversy?

CBD Oil is so controversial because it comes from the Cannabis plant even though the CBD is not a mind-altering/damaging drug like the THC derived also from Cannabis. The biggest problem is, many of the proponents/supporters for medicinal uses of Cannabis are really trying to get a legal-pass to produce marijuana--- often to get high and use it as a drug, and it is hard to separate and regulate this when allowing the growth of Cannabis to be legal. Although there are many benefits to using CBD Oil, there is a lot of propaganda in the Cannabis movement.

Are the similar natural treatments?

Yes, there are. When it comes to biology each person's body is a little bit different and some people receive more effectiveness in the benefits than others on certain treatments, however, there are general patterns that can be observed. For many “Holy Basil” or “Copaiba Essential Oil,” has the same or similar uses as CBD Oil. Copaiba Essential Oil, for example, contains a cannabinoid known as BCP that is stronger and often more effective than CBD is. Copaiba Essential Oil may be too potent or strong for some people, while effective to others.

How long do I have to take the CBD Oil?

If treating an ailment, the amount of time it takes will vary from person to person as well as how big the problem is. Some people see results the first day while for others it takes weeks. The difference between CBD Oil and continually taking pharmaceutical drugs is: once you're cured, you're cured with the exception of some ailments that require more maintenance like seizures. If you have an issue with seizures, you will probably need to have your oil on-hand for someone to administer each time you have a seizure. If your seizures are regularly occurring, then using CBD Oil regularly to prevent them is a good idea in that case. If you need to relax, use CBD Oil then according to the recommended amount. CBD Oil can be used daily as a supplement to maintain good health, or prevent problems. Daily use is my personal recommendation, similar to a daily vitamin boost.

What is the best source of CBD Oil?

When looking for a good CBD Oil make sure to question and ask to assure that there are no unlisted additives, that that the Hemp is organic and grown without pesticides, that the oil is CO2 extracted rather than extracted with heat, and that it is from a trustable verifiable source. I buy and sell the CBD Oil I use from one of the best sources available. It is organically grown with no solvents, additives, or pesticides, CO2 extracted, non-psychoactive, legal, full spectrum(whole plant), safe for humans and pets, and by a legitimate business.

Cutting Carbs

When it comes to carbs there is a lot to consider, including that not all carbs are bad.  Part of the problem is: the standard American diet is loaded with far too many carbs, and bad carbs at that, and the American Food Pyramid is not an accurate representation of a "good diet."  More Americans die of obesity than they do hunger.

The Australian Food Pyramid shows a much more accurate demonstration of a balanced, healthy diet.

It is healthy to limit the intake of breads and remove heavily processed and bleached breads/starches from your diet.  Sometimes cutting carbs literally means doing just that!  If you are eating a slice of pizza for example, set a limit on your slice(s) and cut off the crust and throw the crust away (or give it to your dog) before you sit down and eat.  If you leave the crust or excess bread in front of you, the likelihood of you eating it after finishing the rest of your pizza increases.  As a general rule of thumb, make sure you have more vegetables in your diet than fruits, and more "fruits and vegetables" than breads and drink plenty of water to help you stay full.

How many carbs should I consume in a day?

An average person should consume between 100 grams and 150 grams of "Good Carbs" per day based on a 2,000 calorie diet, that is about 15% to 30% of food on each plate (I aim for 15% to 25% to make it easy on a serving plate).  Highly-active athletes are recommended to consume more, around 250 carbs per day.  Diabetics, people with Alzheimer's Disease, metabolic issues, carb intolerance, lacking digestive enzymes, or have blood-sugar issues should aim closer to 60 grams per day, but not lower--- this also works if you are trying to stick with a low-carb approach to good health.  Just like with sodium, however, cutting carbs too low can also negatively benefit your health.  It's okay to do a low-carb diet, but don't do "too-low" or go to the extreme to try to cut out all carbs or you could cause more health problems than benefits.

Ayurvedic Massage

Ayurvedic Massage is an ancient Indian form of healing treatment that has been refined into what it is today over the course of thousands of years. Ayrurvedic Massage is a technique unheard of by many--- a long-kept secret of India, but is now available at Healing Haven Massage and Wellness. This treatment uses the knowledge of the body, knowledge of scents and specialty oils, knowledge of music and sound, and knowledge of bodywork-techniques combining them into one specialty massage treatment that embraces all of the senses. Ideally this experience is best taken daily to soothe/relieve the body, mind, and soul from everyday stresses of the world. You will feel joyful, healed, refreshed and renewed.

Before the massage begins the therapist will concentrate his or her energy in a focuses state and possibly recite a prayer, either silently or aloud. The main forms of movement in the massage treatment are: “active” which is strong pressure, “persuasive” which is the kneading or pinching of small muscles with the forefinger and thumb, and also “passive” which is a more delicate stroke. During an Ayurvedic Massage it is believed that a subtle transfer of electromagnetic energy occurs between the massage therapist and client, that is, if the client feels safe and is open and receptive to this massage treatment. It is important to allow it to happen and receive the healing effects. The therapist will sync his or her breathing with the clients to form a stronger bond of connection for the session focusing on the technique and energy. This massage is a form of full-body massage, but specifications can be made to fit your individual therapeutic needs and be catered to you.
